PGY 2 - Urology 1
The PGY 2 Urology junior resident spends the year on the adult Urology service at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.
The PGY 2 RWJ rotation is heavily focused on diagnosis, preoperative evaluation, care and management of patients with urologic malignancies. The PGY 2 is expected to become proficient at flexible and rigid cystoscopy, trans-rectal ultrasound and prostate biopsy, scrotal surgery, non- complex ureteroscopy, and other minor surgical procedures that are appropriate for the junior resident level of training.
The PGY 2 will have a strong oncology experience at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, an NCI designated comprehensive cancer center.
