PGY 1 & 2 -- Pre-Urology
The PGY 1 and 2 years are spent in General Surgery learning basic surgical
technique and how to care for surgical patients. The Urology rotations designed by
Dr. Robert E. Weiss, and the General Surgery Program Director
Dr. Stanley Z. Trooskin, provide a well rounded pre urology experience with exposure to areas
of general surgery that are particularly relevant to urologic training. This experience includes
renal transplantation, ICU experience, plastic surgery, surgical oncology, emergency room, and
minimally invasive surgery.
